This years Cold Wars was held at the Lancaster Host and Resort again for what rumor says is the final time. As usual, in a perpetual state of construction, attendance felt down but the record shows there were maybe as many people as last time but there were also more "mega games". Whether it be construction or these mega games, Friday was a very slow day and there are no game pics to show for there were essentially no games played that I was running. This includes my gundam game which usually draws a fair crowd.
Perhaps more reasonable were the thunderstorms that was forecasted. The following were taken from the Strasburg Station parking lot.
Saturday drew just as slow as a crowd but it was my brothers first time playing Heavy Gear Blitz from Dream Pod 9 and the game alone brought out a representative from Dream Pod 9 to check it out. With this encounter, I will be running it again for Historicon. More on that later.
With the game being slow and it was only me versus my brother, we ran a 4 gear squad with recon support against each other. The objectives were the high grounds and that massive hill in the middle.
THAT DARN RIVER! That darn river costed me some movement and my brother rushed the central hill and used its height to his advantage. Ouch.

With many gears destroyed on my end, I called it game. My brother had fun and I look forward to returning to Historicon with this in July. For those that are curious, here is a link to the event.
