Cold War 20mm

This was suppose to of been part of a larger group project that I dove head first into as usual but the project may end up being cancelled altogether but this means that I have time to finish my 2 platoons and to get their armor support in as well as add to the platoons at my own pace.
I began this project of making up 2 Cold War circa 1985 platoons by doing some research into TO&E charts and such. Boy, that was a pain! After a while and doing a lot of asking, I found 3 sources for my US Mechanized Platoon and my Soviet Motor Rifle Platoon.
Here is a mix of Italeri, Revell and Zvezda miniatures in 1/72. The platoon is in 3 squads with anti-tank sections and dismounted MMG section in case their M113s gets knocked out.
The mentioned Dismounted M113 MMG teams with M60s.

     The Platoons 3x anti-tank sections.

     Platoon Command is in front.

     The Platoon itself.

Empress Miniatures had a sale I think back in February so I ordered my Russians and dismounted BMP crews. This is also back in February so, yeah. I need to do bette run keeping you all up to date on my projects.

Fast forward to last month, early May and the American Mechanized Platoon is done. All the tis left are to get their tracks.

Time opened up sometime during April so my mid May, the soviets were done.

And that is that. I will update when I get their transports and the soviets their tanks in. As usual, please leave a comment either here or at The Officer Factory facebook page. Chao.
